With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Herbertine C. Hannapel of Dowagiac, Michigan, born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on December 25, 2021 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Peter Herbert and Estelle Hanley (Grzywna); and her siblings, Patricia Hanley and Timothy Hanley. She is survived by: her husband Jerry L. Hannapel; her children, David Hannapel (Jodi), Kristin Cutter (Rusty) and Eric Hannapel (Jamie); her grandchildren, Brennan Hannapel, Ashley Bournay (Ben), Jessi Hannapel, Corry Napier (Mikey), Jared Hannapel, Emily Cutter, Matthew Cutter, Molly Cutter, Jenna Cutter, Ethan Hannapel, Tyler Hannapel and Breah Hannapel; and her great grandchildren, Jack Bournay, Harrison Bournay, Oliver Bournay, Walker Napier and Eleanor Napier.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Herbie's name may be made to Sacred Heart Catholic Church, the St. Francis Outreach or the Dowagiac Council on Aging.
