Flora Waters Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Flora Waters of Dowagiac, Michigan, born in Hayti, Missouri, who passed away on September 4, 2023, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Dotson Bowie and Sarah Nash Owens; her husband Joseph; her sons, Henry, Milton, John (Joann) and James Waters (Nancy); her grandson Mark Waters; her mother-in-law Annie Waters; her aunt Katie Lewis; her sisters, Clara Hobson and Emma Cushenberry; her stepbrother Walter Arrington; and her sisters-in-law, Eddie Mae Sanders (Northern) and Beatrice Smith.
She is survived by: her sons, Leroy (Yulonda Ward) of Benton Harbor and Larry (Adrienne) of Elm Grove, WI; and her daughters-in-law, Nancy of Muskegon and Joann of Lansing. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members and friends.
Memorial donations in Flora's name may be directed to Second Baptist Church or a charity of one's choice.
