She was predeceased by: her parents, Logan Gillam and Anna Gillam (Fabian); her husband Irving Boyd; her children, Jack Boyd, Josephine Boyd and Maxine Edwards; and her siblings, Arthur, Edward, Delmar, Richard Gillam, Marian Pompey, Edith Gillam-Conrad and Dorothy Shaw.
She is survived by: her children, Ernestine Wares, James Boyd (Dana) and Bruce Boyd (Peggy). She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
