He was predeceased by: his former wife Sydney; and his wife Theresa. He is survived by: his sons, Scott DeVries (Vicky), Steven DeVries (Linda), David DeVries (Carolyn), Dean DeVries (Alicia) and Dale DeVries (Penny); his stepsons, Roger Merren (Mary Jane), Ronald Merren (Cathy), Robert Merren (Darla), Richard Merren (Janet), Randell Merren (Mary Jane) and Russell Merren (Beth); his brother Norman DeVries (Shirley); and his siblings-in-law, Marie Rybiski (Joe) and Philip Chenier (Lavonne).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Wayland VFW Post #7581 or the Dorr American Legion Post #127.
