She was predeceased by: her parents, Jack Birman and Edith (Herbert Hitzler); and her siblings, Jim Birman Sr. and Catherine VanWinkle. She is survived by: her sons, Jim Hitzler (Tracy) and Jack Hitzler (Mary); and her grandchildren, Lane, Luke, Zander, Cruz and Kennedy. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.

In honor of Mary, memorial contributions may be made to St. Stanislaus Catholic Church.
