With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Donald Nicholas Mead Jr. (Dorr, Michigan), who passed away on April 9, 2025 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his sisters, Virginia Schmidt, Rosemary Hoffman and Martha M. O'Brien (Jim); his siblings-in-law, James R. Veit, Virgil Payne and Carolyn Mead; and his parents, Donald N. Sr. Elliott and Elsie L. Elliott.
He is survived by: his wife Jacqualine R. Mead; his children, Donald N. Mead III, Gretchen M. Mead, Hillary J. Mead and Heidi L. Bedwell (Brian); his siblings, Larry J. Mead and Loraine K. Payne; and his siblings-in-law, Jerry R. Veit (Karol), JoAnne R. Painter, Judith R. Brittain (Russell), John R. Veit, Jeffery R. Veit (Julie) and Joseph R. Veit (Tina). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
