He was predeceased by: his parents, Perley Lanning and Mildred Lanning (Maddocks); his wife Bertha M. Mullens; his daughter-in-law Denise Lanning; and his brother Allen.
He is survived by: his sons, Lawrence Lanning (Donna) and Darrel Lanning; his sister Elynore Allan of Tennessee; his cousins, Melvin Lanning (Donna) and Bravard Helms; and his friends, Dale and Dorothy McKay. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren.
