He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Dolegowski and Catherine Dolegowski; his wife Marilyn Szczepanek; his children, Barbara Vander Ploeg and John Dolegowski; and his siblings, John Dolegowski, Josephine Belka and Jean Juchniewicz.
He is survived by: his children, Larry, Joe, Ron Dolegowski, Christine Scott (Joe) and Marlene Knox; his son-in-law Kevin Vander Ploeg; his grandchildren, Jessica, Travis, Trent, Julie, Heather, Amber (Lane), Krysten, Ashley (Andrew) and Jennifer; his great grandchildren, Madison and Jaxen; and his sister-in-law Lorraine Szczepanek.
In memory of Chester and in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Stanislaus Church, Wings of Hope Hospice, and the Diocese of Kalamazoo Annual Appeal.
