He was predeceased by: his wife Helen Clawson; his son Juergen; and his parents, Bernard Clawson and Catherine Clawson. He is also survived by his many family members and friends.

In memory of Bernie and in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Pathway Church in Byron Center, Michigan.
