She was predeceased by: her parents, George Elmer and Elizabeth Smith; her husbands, Chet Bala and Louis Harnish; her daughter Diane King (Bala); and her son-in-law Terry King.
She is survived by: her children, Brenda Brainard (Bub), Jim Bala (Karen) and Ron Bala (Tina); her grandchildren, Jamie Bala (Michael Pavlak), Dan Bala (Jayde), Kelly Conway (Brody), Whitney (Brainard), Grant Ringerwole, Aaron Brainard (Brittany Pickard), Cody Brainard (Katie), Jeff, Jacob and Joe Bala; her great grandchildren, Maple Fey Conway and Frank Brainard; her stepchildren, Christine Navis (Boyd), Larry Harnish (Lisa), Steve Harnish (Jenett), Mary Harnish and Jane Taylor (Dan); her sister-in-law Colleen Smith (Dene); and her caregivers, Jenna, Julie, Joy, Nancy and Green Acres. She is also survived by several step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wings of Hope Hospice or St. Stanislaus Catholic Church or School.
