It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Edith Evelyn Kuopus (Dodgeville, Michigan), born in Atlantic Mine, Michigan, who passed away on July 2, 2015, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Lampinen and Edith "Mary" Lampinen (Johnson); her husband Russell Kuopus; and her siblings, Edward "Archie" Lampinen, Eino "Lel" Lampinen, Esther Lampinen Hakala, Elaine Lampinen Lassila Maatta and Mary Lou Lampinen Howard.
She is survived by: her nieces and nephews, Gloria Briski (Paul), Patricia Yates (Dick), Edith Nesmith, Ginny Corbin, Helen St. Jean, Diana "Dusty" Lampinen, Linda Routsala (Steve), Annie Lampinen, Dennis Howard (Lois), Edward Lampinen and Joseph Lampinen; her uncle Douglas Johnson; and her cousin Judy Haataja (Robert). She is also survived by numerous cousins and other extended family.
In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, the family requests donations be made to the Copper Country Humane Society, P.O. Box 453, Houghton, MI 49931, in memory of Evelyn's lifelong devotion to her pets.
