He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Burgess and Lena Burgess (Ristau); his former wife Diana Burgess (Cuson); and his sisters, Gail Smith and Barb Stover.
He is survived by: his wife Lynette; his son Rick Burgess (Marnie); his sisters-in-law, Marion Guthrie and Joyce Rice; his grandsons, Andrew Burgess (Rogena) and Zachary Burgess (Shelby); and his great grandchildren, JoJo and Isaac. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
