She is survived by: her parents, Albert Schafer and Eleanor Schafer; her spouse Lawrence Powell of Dimondale; her daughters, Nancy Denison of Mason, Patricia Hamp (Gary Hamp) of Traverse City and Sandra Walters of Lansing; and her sister Betty Speaks of Charlotte. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
