He was predeceased by: his parents, Dorothy Truax and Ralph Truax; his stepmother Ila Truax; and his sister Carole Van Den Branden. He is survived by: his daughters, Samantha Brandt (Rick) of Dexter, Emily Edgcombe (Rob) and Josselyn Buchanan (Matt) of Wisconsin; his grandchildren, Shane MacNeil, Lauren MacNeil, Mallory Brandt, Liam MacNeil, Carson Brandt, Cameron MacNeil, Brenna, Anya, Will and James Buchanan; his stepbrother Forrest "Jim" Youngs; his former wife Samantha; and his son-in-law Michael MacNeil. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, May 11th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at 8225 Dexter-Chelsea Rd, Dexter, MI 48130.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to the Champions Circle Michigan Softball Enhancement Fund or Leader Dogs for the Blind.
