She was predeceased by: her parents, Angelo Cassar and Victoria Cassar (Sultana); her husband Jose "Joe" Ruivo; her children, Tina Ruivo and Dennis Ruivo (Nancy); her grandsons, Adam Ruivo, Deshone Moore and Jason Baker; and her sister Antoinette.
She is survived by: her daughters, Patricia Hindman (Rick), Vicki Echegoyen (Juan) and Ruth Kowalk (Bryan); her siblings, James Cassar (Patricia), Frances Savel (Thomas), George Cassar (Shelly), Victoria Cassar, Rita Savel, Carmen Schwarze (Edward), Joseph Cassar (Kathy), Michael Cassar (Susan) and Clement Cassar Theresa (Bonnie); her siblings-in-law, Albert Ruivo and Tina Ruivo; and her grandchildren, Anthony Ruivo (Melissa), Donald Baker, Stacey Baker-Puia (Pauly), Ebony Jones (Samuel), Cali Snyder (Ryan), Vinnie Curlee (Olivia Ponce), Roxana, Marina Echegoyen, Lincoln and Garrett Kowalk. She is also survived by great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the St. Joseph Catholic Country Church (6805 Mast Rd, Dexter, MI 48130). A prayer was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
