It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Nimitz Sr. (Dexter, Michigan), born in Portage, Pennsylvania, who passed away on November 2, 2022, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Nimitz and Margaret Nimitz; and his sister Marge Nimitz. He is survived by: his wife Sally Nimitz; his children, John Nimitz Jr. and Sheri Nimitz; his stepson Paul Edward Tomshany III (Lisa); his grandsons, Tony and Justin Tomshany; his siblings-in-law, Edmond Richard and Carol Chaconas; his nieces, Nichole and Alethea; his caregivers, Becky, Lisa, Beth and Stephanie; and also Coco.
