He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick Schoof and Esther Schoof (Terry). He is survived by: his wife Katharene Kaufman (Kathy) of Dexter; his son Jesse of Portland Oregon; and his sisters, Lisa Compton (John) of Capetown, Janet Waters of Millis and Jackie Crnic (Frank) of New Fairfield. He is also survived by 9 nieces and nephews.
