She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Otto Kresky and Laura Kresky; her husband Gordon Vanderwier; her sons, Gordon Vanderwier, Jr. and Gordy; her granddaughter Maggie; and her close friend Lu Mayhew. She was also cherished by her niece and nephews; her extended family.
Memorial contributions in Ruth's honor may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
