With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Rosalie Ankney of Dewitt, Michigan, who passed away on April 17, 2023 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Donald; her parents, Alfred Simon and Eva Simon; her siblings, Paul, Hilary and Marie; and her brother-in-law Alvin.

She is survived by: her children, Denise Nelson, Chris Ankney, Andrea Vanderske (Steve) and Mark Ankney (Julie); her grandchildren, Rebecca Smith (Matt), Donald Nelson, Ben Vanderske (Lauren), Melissa Vanderske and Brent Ankney (Morgan); her great grandchild Jasper Ankney; and her sister Georgie Kelly (Pat).

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Rosalie's memory may be made to Careline Hospice Care, 103 S Jackson St., Suite 200, Jackson, Michigan 49201 US or to the hospice of your choice.

“So sorry to hear of Rosalie's passing. We were best friends since 1st grade at St. Joseph's Catholic School in St. Johns, Michigan, all the way through Rodney B. Wilson High School in St. Johns. We have kept in touch through all these years even tho Bob and I moved to Indianapolis, IN Rosalie was a special lady, her Catholic faith was so special to her as was her family. Rosalie is now with Donald her husband who she lost many years ago. Rest in peace Rosalie. Bob and Dorothy”
