He was predeceased by: his mother Janet Duty (Gibbs); his stepfather Rush Duty; and his grandparents, Herbert and Esther Gibbs. He is survived by: his wife Beth Thomas (Tirdel); his sons, Michael and Kyle Thomas (Chelsea); his siblings, Keith Duty (Peggee) and Sheryl Hulet (Jerry); and his uncle Herbert Gibbs Jr. (Marilyn). He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
