James Lee Tingay Sr. Obituary
We are sad to announce that on November 10, 2024, at the age of 88, James Lee Tingay Sr. of Dewitt, Michigan passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of James Lee Tingay Sr. to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Sheral Tingay and Laura Tingay; his wife Patricia Fineis of Lansing; his siblings, Fredalice "Freddie" Ford and Grant Tingay; his grandson Christian Smith; and his great grandchildren, Layla Ames and William McLain.
He is survived by: his children, Ann Tingay, Sylvia Tingay, James L. Tingay Jr. (Shelly), Matt Tingay (Penny), Mary Barnes (Ken) and Greg Tingay (Amanda); his brother Lauren "Larry" Tingay; and his siblings-in-law, Virginia Hicok, Sylvia Lincolnhol, Nancy Barrows (Mark), Judy Thomas (Bill), David Fineis, Linda Walker, Gary Fineis and Sue Hooper. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and cousins; and many dear friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 10:00 AM. A rosary was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 at 7:30 PM. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Monday, November 18th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the DeWitt City Cemetery (801 N Bridge St, DeWitt, MI 48820).
