He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Volkers and Grace Volkers; and his siblings, Jason, Harvey, Gordon, Lois and Vivian.
He is survived by: his wife Isla; his children, Rick Volkers (Leigh) of DeWitt and Stephanie McCarthy (Jim) of Denver; his grandchildren, Josh McCarthy (Morgan), Adam McCarthy, Gabe Eyde (Sarah) and Olivia McCabe (Bryan); his great grandchild Parker McCarthy; and his sisters, Elaine Dorn and Janice Voss.
