She was predeceased by: her husband Fred Nickels; her parents, Ferdinand Bauer and Loretta Bauer; and her siblings, Arnold Bauer and Marilyn Montgomery.
She is survived by: her children, Bill Huyser (Sophia), Bob Huyser, Jim Huyser (Darcy), Nancy Boyer (Dave) and Tracey Mihailoff (Mike); and her brother Ivan Bauer (Victoria). She is also survived by eight grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
