He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Everett Cleveland and Wilma Cleveland (Rush); his wife Sandra Lee Hoffman; his children, LeAnn Lorenc (Joseph III) and Robert "Bob" Cleveland (Lisa); his grandchildren, Joseph "Joey" Lorenc IV, Hailey and Cody Cleveland; his siblings, Everett Cleveland (Gerald), Sharon Smith and Janet Peru (Jack); and his daughter Barbara Ann Cleveland.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Gary may be made to Alzheimer's Association and Robinwood Landing Alzheimer's.
