He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Heutsche and Anne Huether Heutsche; and his siblings-in-law, Frank, Florence Rudge, Larry Manilla, Jeffrey Rudge, Larry Rudge and Marilyn Rudge.

He is survived by: his siblings, Bob, Margy, Susie, John, Annette and Vic; his wife Karen Rudge; his children, Gretchen Heutsche (John Hogan), Anne Heutsche, Susan Lenhart (Brian) and Edward "Ted" Heutsche III (Kari); and his grandchildren, Braeden, Declan, Bridget, Edward IV "Teddy", Evelyn, Eliana and Matthew.
