He was predeceased by: his parents, Glenn McKinstry and Evelyn McKinstry (Freed); and his brother Warren (Dorothy). He is survived by: his wife Virginia M. Giertz of Elgin; his sons, Rick (Karen), Randall (Diane) and Kurt (Cathy); his grandchildren, Jennifer, Justin (Jennifer), Jessica, Molly, Melissa (Patrick) and Mitchell (Hannah); and his great grandchildren, Liam, Kaiden, Jaxon and Valerie.
