He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Hire and Cecille Hire; and his brother Brian. He is survived by: his friends, Sandy and Amy; his sister Laura; and his nieces, Cicely and Margaret. He is also survived by many loving cousins and dear friends.
He was active in First Congregational United Church of Christ of Sarasota when in Florida, and until Covid attended both ResLife and Plymouth Congregational churches in Grand Rapids.
