He is survived by: his wife Gertrude "Trudy" Schafer; and his children, Audrey Barr (Steve), Therese Bray (Jack), Leslie Schafer-Yabs, Joseph Schafer (Jennifer) and Michael Schafer (Ann). He is also survived by family members, friends, neighbors.
