He was predeceased by: his parents, Cletus Petchar and Eleanor Petchar; his sister Marlene Kessler; and his brother-in-law Gregory Kwiatkowski. He is survived by: his wife Judy Renny; his children, Pamela Beattie (Dave) of Appleton, Wisconsin, Sheila Hartle (Mike) of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Kim Jorns (Todd) of DeWitt, Michigan and Laurie Cahalane-Petchar (Kristen) of Belmont, Massachusetts.; his grandchildren, Lauren, William, Gabriel, Jonas, Anthony, Jonathan, Renny and Kiely; his sister Cleta Kwiatkowski; his siblings-in-law, Laurie Reich (Rudy), Janet Vinjie (Clay) and Gene Kessler; and his nieces and nephews, Mike Page, Drew Kessler, Greg Kwiatkowski, Joe Kwiatkowski, Theresa Mitchell, Michelle Vipond and Jacquie Vinje. He is also survived by many cousins and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Jude Community Catholic Church (801 N Bridge St, DeWitt, MI 48820). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Catholic Community of St. Jude in his honor.
