He was predeceased by: his brothers, Daniel and Russell; and his parents, Stanley West and Dorothy West. He is survived by: his wife Judy; his sons, Victor and Steven (Sally); his siblings, Phillip West (Norma), Nancy Smith (Andy), Kathy West, Michael West and Karen Jones; and his stepchildren, Sherry Brodowsky (Jeff), Renee Moore, Michelle DeJaeger and Jerry Serafini (Jamie). He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
