With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Guido Sabella (Detroit, Michigan), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Guido left this world on February 25, 2025 at the age of 94, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family. Though Guido may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Guido touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He is survived by: his wife Marilyn; and his children, Thomas (Carol), Janice Degen (Sean), David (Michele) and Matthew (Michele). He is also survived by 19 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren, his many nieces, nephews, remaining family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Verheyden, Inc. (16300 Mack Ave, Grosse Pointe Park, MI 48230). A rosary will be held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the same location. The lying in state will be held on Friday, March 7th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the St. Clare of Montefalco Catholic Church (1401 Whittier Rd, Grosse Pointe Park, MI 48230). A Mass will be held on Friday, March 7th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Friday, March 7th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery (17100 Van Dyke Ave, Detroit, MI 48235).
