It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Diana Marie Cooley of Detroit, Michigan, who passed away on January 3, 2025, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Diana Marie Cooley to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Daniel Grimaldo and Evelyn "Evie" Grimaldo (Diana); her husband Donald "Don" Cooley; her siblings, Daniel, Steven, Michael Grimaldo and Maria Villanueva; and her brother-in-law Izzy Vela.
She is survived by: her son Eugene "Gene" Cooley (Shawn); her siblings, Judith Vela, Irene LaBruyere, Dolores Farrell (John) and David Grimaldo (Jane); and her siblings-in-law, Paula Grimaldo and Jose Villanueva. She is also survived by nieces, nephews cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Verheyden, Inc. (7100 Michigan Ave, Detroit, MI 48210).
Diana has been a pillar in the community and was selfless in her contributions to the Mexican Town Southwest Detroit Neighborhoods.
