She was predeceased by: her parents, Andrew Shugars and Marion Shugars (Merrifield); her husband Herb; her daughter Melody Erwin; and her brother Donald Shugars.
She is survived by: her daughters, Linda Hill (John) and Gayle Brown (Pastor Jerry); her son-in-law Michael Erwin; and her sister Marva Johnson (Ed). She is also survived by children played such an important part in her life for many years, as did opening their home to foster children and relatives.
