James R. Brownell Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James R. Brownell (Delton, Michigan), born in Hastings, Michigan, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 31, 2024 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Brownell and Irene Brownell (Dann); his wife Velma Brownell (Payne); his brothers, Jerry Brownell and Jeff Brownell; his daughter Sue Ann Brownell; his grandson Nick Smith; his brother Jon Brownell; and his siblings-in-law, Phil Cotant, Gordon Barlow, Bob Wellman and Annette Brownell.

He is survived by: his children, Dennis Brownell, Rodney Brownell (Wendy) and Janice Smith (Mike); his siblings, Mary Cotant, Margaret Wellman, Jane Barlow, Ron Brownell (Meriel) and Tom Brownell; and his sisters-in-law, Joan Brownell, Cathy Brownell and Brenda Brownell.
