It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Deja T. Davenport of Delton, Michigan, born in Saltville, Virginia, who passed away on June 8, 2023, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer Davenport and Marie Davenport (Walls); his children, Abbie Davenport, Marie Davenport and Douglas Davenport; his son-in-law Kevin Smith; and his siblings, Junita Walls, Hytha Davenport, Arex Davenport and Kenzey Davenport.

He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Davenport (Rochte); his children, Valetta Smith, Carletta Adams, Yvette Paradine, Sarita Conklin (James), Yvonne Halder and Arilla Dawn Meyers (David); his siblings, Colleen Taylor and Whrenza Davenport (Eva); and his nieces and nephews, Cecil and Katie Davenport. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.

Memorial contributions to the Alzheimer's Association will be appreciated.
