It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Darlene Benedict (Delton, Michigan), born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, who passed away on July 16, 2019, at the age of 54, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Arnold Meyerink and Betty Meyerink (Lagendyk); and her nieces and nephews, Lori, Chris, Bobby Twiss and Jessica Norton.
She is survived by: her husband Michael J. Benedict; her children, Ethan and Shannon; her grandchildren, Madison Rae and Oliver Raymond; her siblings, Ronald Meyerink, Jan Marsman (Russ), Cheryl DeWitt, Dawn Babcock, Shelly Vanderveen (Tim) and Dave Meyerink (Martina); her parent-in-law Dale; and her sisters, Dean Benedict (Pat), Julie McConnon and Susan Strider (Eric). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions to the Mercy Health Lacks Cancer Center or Grace Hospice will be appreciated.
