He was predeceased by: his parents, William Bowen and Florence Bowen (Kennedy); his children, Carl E. Bowen Jr. and Darlene Ivens; and his sister Irene Elliot.
He is survived by: his daughters, Bonnie Myers (William) and Dianna Mireles (Francisco Jr.); and his children-in-law, Carol Bowen and Donald Ivens. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren, thirty five great grandchildren; eighteen great great grandchildren.
