He was predeceased by: his mother Ella Mae Stein; and his wife Christine E. Ritter. He is survived by: his children, JackieKa Pease (Greg) of Grayslake, David Hodge (Michelle), Daryl Hodge of Indianapolis, IN, Michael Hodge of Jackson, MI and Richard A. Hodge (Lynn) of Fortville, IN; his stepdaughter Katrina Tuck of Ashland, AL; and also, Marcia and Ralph Hubbs of Lake Columbia. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, two sisters-in-law, two brothers-in-law, one niece.
