He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman B. Wylie and Florence Wylie (Edmondson); his daughter Sherry Lynn Wylie; his siblings, Coralee Goins, Don Wylie (Evelyn), Ruth Ellison (Carl), Marie Estep, Theo Wylie, Gene Wylie, Bill Wylie (Betty) and Bobby Wylie (Jean); and his son-in-law James Brown.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Mae Wylie of Deerfield; his children, Paula Doherty (Pat) of Monroe, Cindy Brown (John Carpenter) of Manitou Beach, James Wylie Jr. "Jimbo" (Criss) of Deerfield, David "Bud" Wylie (Denise) of Deerfield and Rhonda Branscum (Bruce) of Deerfield; and his grandchildren, Patience, Penny, Eric, Deanna, Paul, Patrick, Missy, Preston, Sam, Doug, Cassie, Dan, Andrew, Sarah and Katie. He is also survived by 21 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the American Kidney Foundation.
