He was predeceased by: his father Richard L. Franzel; his brother Martin Franzel; and his grandparents, Lincoln, Pearl Franzel, Russell and Margaret Phillips.
He is survived by: his mother Cheryl Franzel (Phillips) of Deckerville; his sister Christine Helig of Minden City; his nephew Kyle Franzel; his niece Rebecca Bittner of Deckerville; and his great-niece Alexandria Bittner of Deckerville. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, and many, many cousins.
