She was predeceased by: her parents, Herbert McFarlane and Lillie McFarlane (Campbell); her husband Wendell Whitwam; her siblings, Ralph McFarlane and Dorothy Purdy; and her sister-in-law Irma Abbott.
She is survived by: her children, Allen of Deckerville, Herb of Deckerville, Dan of Deckerville and Vicki Roth (James) of Bad Axe; her grandsons, Brad Roth (Richelle) of Bad Axe, Nick Roth (Kim) of Owendale, Adam Roth (Jaime) of Kingston, Jeremy Roth (Malorey) of Bad Axe and Zack Roth (Maddy) of Saginaw; and her great grandchildren, Luke, Logan, Maria, Ashlyn, Clare, Faith, A. J., Caleb, Rita and Caleigh Roth.
Memorials may be made to the Sandusky Community Church.
