He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Wooters and Rosemary Samons; his son Daniel Wooters; his son-in-law Steve Meffer; his brother Donald Champagne; his brother-in-law Bob Lefler; and his nephew Chris Gering.
He is survived by: his wife Cathy; his children, Jim Wooters, Jr. (Pam) of Gagetown, Jerry Wooters (Amanda) of Gagetown, Jamie Sullivan (Nathan) of Burton and Dawn Meffer of Bad Axe; and his siblings, Jeanette Miller (Bill) of Cass City, Dorothy Lefler of Cass City, Pat Boyd (Karen) of Howell, Duane Samons (June) of Snover, Ralph Samons (Jean) of Florida, Calvin Samons (Petra) of Florida, Earl Samons (Loretta) of Decker and Tony Samons (Carolina) of Kentucky. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren.
