He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Makay and Dorothy Makay (Copeman); and his brother Ramsay (Jane). He is survived by: his wife Karen Makay (Dahms); his daughters, Katelin Makay of Decatur and Margaret Joseph (Timothy); his grandsons, Liam and Wyatt Joseph of Rochester, MN.; and his siblings, Loretta Doroh (Jim), Tony Makay (Nira) and Geri Edwards (Rob). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
