With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mel Callahan of Decatur, Michigan, born in Benton Harbor, Michigan, who passed away on August 24, 2022 at the age of 71. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Callahan, and Virginia Callahan, Sr.; and his sister-in-law Linda Callahan. He is survived by: his wife Karen Callahan of Decatur; his daughters, Stacie Kiggins (Art) of Dowagiac and Theresa Glynn (Scott) of Dowagiac; his grandchildren, Heather Kiggins, Chandler Kiggins and Triston Jiles; his great grandchild Wyatt Jiles; his siblings, Sally Smith (Dan) of Coloma, Shirley Sullens (RL) of North Carolina and Bill Callahan of Benton Harbor; and his close friend Dusty. He is also survived by nieces and nephews; and his yellow Labrador.
