She was predeceased by: her parents, Alexander Hudson and Maggie Wright Hudson; her husband Rev. Ellis Brown; her siblings, Willie Alice Hudson Horton, Susie Ouida Hudson, Annie Ophelia Hudson Jones, Leland Hudson and Eugene Hudson; her children, Edward Charles Brown, James Leon Brown and Nancy Butler; and her grandchild Content Butler.
She is survived by: her siblings, Ethel Hudson Morgan, Bessie Hudson Johnson, Mae Gladys Hudson Lathan and Elam Wilson Hudson; and her children, Ellis Brown Jr., Henry Dale Brown, Raymond Brown, Annie Lee, Onia Pearl Judson, Margaret Brown, Dr. Helen Brown and Janice Brown. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren.
