It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jacob Hoekstra of Decatur, Michigan, born in Paw Paw, Michigan, who passed away on February 25, 2022, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Hoekstra and Helen Hoekstra; his wife Elizabeth; his son James John; and his brothers-in-law, Richard Miller, Harold Henry and Mick Motycka.
He is survived by: his son Mark Hoekstra (Darlene); his grandchildren, Chelsea Jackson (Justin) of Kentucky and James Hoekstra of Decatur; his son Jeff Heflin (Lauren Kendrick); and his siblings, Bill Hoekstra (Sue), Randy Hoekstra (Yvonne), Sue Miller, Marilyn Motycka, Elaine Imbordino (Mike), Joan Henry and Grace Zimmerman (Terry). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
