He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Lyle and Margaret Reits, Sr. (Sikkema); his wife Carolyn Reits; his children, Todd Reits (Becky), Michele Reits and Kurt Reits; his grandchildren, Alexandra Reits (Kris), Krista Boone (Jacob), MaKenna DeMeester, Brian Reits, Danielle Reits and Tyson Reits; his great grandchildren, Elena, Benny, Aiden and Jude; his siblings-in-law, Barbara Reits, Gary VanDenBerg (Ardith) and Lyle Taylor (Patsy); and his cousin Doug Sikkema. He was also cherished by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Memorial contributions in Don's name may be made to the Decatur Athletic Department or Decatur First Presbyterian Church.
