She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Henry and Grace Elizabeth Covell (Shaw); her husband Preceding; and her siblings, Alvie, Earl, Vern, Donald, Delos, Gerald, Darl, Leona and Marilyn.
She is survived by: her children, Alfred Hurd and Debra Ecie (Donald); her stepchildren, Deborah Coder (Dennis), William McNett Jr., Cindy McNett, Nancy Bobo (James), Cinnamon Colletti (Robert) and Dionne Couchman (Russell); her grandchildren, Patricia Keiser, Donald Hurd, William Hurd (Corinne), Samantha Rose (Jimmy), Benny Smith (Jamie) and Evan Swan; her great grandchildren, Justin, Michaela, Catelynn (Dalton), Rachel, Matthew, Jacob, Nathan, Emily, Charles Jr. and Nominee; her great great grandchildren, Jay, Braelynn, Oakleigh, Leiland, Aaliyah, Kayson and Ryker; and her siblings, Gary Covell (Sandra), Dewayne Covell (Brenda), Donna Carroll (Louis) and Phyllis Finley. She is also survived by several step-grandchildren.
