He is survived by: his wife Theresa Bailey (Chybik); his children, Becky Slate (Michael) and Matthew Bailey; his grandchildren, Hayleigh Slate and Isaiah Bailey; and his siblings, Ann Myers, Darline Kirby (James) and Loreine Beeching. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, and many very good friends.
