He was predeceased by: his wife Ruby Matthews; his daughter Debbie Ward (Ken); his mother Jennie Matthews; and his sisters, Angie, Barbara and Jeanette.
He is survived by: his son Jim Matthews (Marianne); his grandchildren, Jimmy Matthews, Matthew Ward and Kristin Kerr (Dustin); his great grandchildren, Noah, Hannah, Emily, Chloe, Ethan, Alivia, Adam and Alexis; and his sisters, Arlene and Anita.
